Watch Laco pilot of Germany
Watches Pilot WWII model is a popular model of watches today, with the IWC falling over the price with other brands dozen Swiss and German or falling in most of them anywhere. Some of the main producers pilots watch include Steinhart / Debaufre, Archiemede, Ollech and Wajs, Damasko, Tourby, and Laco. What many may or may not know is that Laco was one of five brands chosen by the German military to produce watches for them during WWII with Wempe, a Stow Lange and IWC. So if you want an authentic, yet accessible shows driver model WWII, Laco is definitely your best bet.

Now it is an autopilot and 42mm in diameter, which makes it different from the originals, which were 47mm and manual winding. They were so big they could be worn around the outside of a flight jacket and still be easily seen. You can get the 47mm version of Laco, but here’s one I 42mm, and a movement ETA 2824-2, engraved with etchings with Laco logo on the rotor.

Its very interesting watch with a mineral crystal (it may be ordered with sapphire), and sits very well on my wrist a little small. The brackets are interesting as they stick right out of the case, rather than bending down. The Lume on the clock is correct, but not fantastic.

Here you can see the perforated belt cooled air, but it is only perforated back and sides. It is still full on top, which is a nice device. Makes it very comfortable to wear, and comes even with the same belt in black in case you want to switch.

And finally, a wrist shot. Increasingly I’m finding I like the size of 42mm, and although I appreciate the 47mm driver, I find the 42mm more appropriate to me, and really at the end look better, regardless of the presence of the wrist.

If you like watches drivers, do yourself a favor and check Laco. They are one of the original suppliers for watches Pilot WWII, and they continue to make a great product for a great price today. This sales 42mm drivers for about $ 450 new.
